The Barbara L. Christen Founder's Circle

Donations to Futures and Options may be made to the Barbara L. Christen Founder's Circle. In 1995, as Vice President for Workforce Development at the Alliance for Downtown New York, Barbara Christen created Futures and Options and its signature internship program.

Your support allows Futures and Options to provide more underserved New York City youth with the opportunity to serve as interns, explore careers, and receive the assistance needed to reach their potential as contributing citizens of our community.

There are so many ways your gift impacts young people:

expands Career Essentials, which teaches students work-readiness skills.

expands our College Guidance Initiative, which assists students with their higher education planning.

provides a highly-supported, paid internship to a NYC high school student.

supports Bridge To Work, which prepares students for the work world while they give back as volunteers.

helps provide materials and space for our career readiness workshops.

provides a field trip, which gives students opportunities to explore industry-specific careers.
