Latoya joined the Futures and Option team in March 2019 as a Program Coordinator where she conducts student interviews, facilitates workshops, and liaises with students and business partner organizations throughout the Internship Program cycle. Following an internship with the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, Latoya began her career in Youth Development with a strong desire to connect with and make a difference in the lives of NYC's urban youth. She has previously served as a Brooklyn site manager for the Young Women Rock! High School Mentorship program, and as a Program Coordinator for the Advantage Program at Long Island University Brooklyn, providing employment, educational resources, enrichment programs and other services for youth in middle school through college.
Latoya earned her Bachelor's Degree in Media and Communications from Cheyney University in 2012. She enjoys creative writing in her spare time, studying and listening to different genres of music, and is passionate about helping others in her community. She is the founder of Passion Positive Services, an organization that collaborates with local NYC businesses on various community service projects. Latoya is excited to join the Futures and Options team and continue providing youth with opportunities.
