Assistant Program Coordinator
Monet joined the Futures and Options team in January 2019 as an Assistant Program Coordinator. She began her work with youth as an America Reads and Counts tutor, then served as a Group Leader at Harlem RBI, where she coached and mentored a group of 1st graders. Prior to joining the organization, Monet served as a Research Assistant Intern at the NYU Child & Family Policy Center on the Early Childhood Education team, where she partnered with Early Childhood Educators, New York City's Division of Early Childhood Education (DOE-DECE), and the Administration for Children's (ACS) to increase the quality of preschool education throughout NYC.
Monet graduated from New York University in 2018, majoring in Global Public Health & Applied Psychology and minoring in American Sign Language. Her prior experience working with and uplifting vulnerable populations as well as her deep interest in adolescent development has led her to this organization. Moreover, having a deep interest for education and workforce development, Monet shares Futures and Options' mission to close the opportunity divide and foster a new vision of programming that promotes students' professional, intellectual, and emotional development. She is passionate about finding ways to create high-quality learning environments for all adolescents and is excited to be a part of the team at Futures and Options.
