The Futures and Options Internship Program offers NYC high school juniors and seniors an educational work experience outside of the regular classroom setting. To be eligible for the program, students must express a strong interest in working, be available at least 12 hours per week during the school year (24 hours per week during the summer), and provide a school transcript demonstrating good academic standing and progress toward graduation and higher education.
FAO conducts an initial in-depth interview to assess students' skills, interests, and plans. FAO strives to match students' abilities and interests to the needs of the available site. Placement is not guaranteed. Site supervisors interview candidates referred by FAO, and placement is dependent upon their final decision.
